Get results in days, not monthsResults in days, not monthsWho sees your ad when the address says Newark but every direction on the map says Fremont? Ads are bought by place, and settings that look right at a glance can send impressions to neighborhoods your crew never drives to. Newark is an enclave of 13.919 square miles with 47,470 residents, so drawing its edge carefully is the first job of any paid search plan here, ahead of keywords, bids or copy.
Our Google Ads management for Newark businesses runs by area and by service, from Old Town to NewPark Mall. Each ad group points to a landing page written for it, calls and forms are counted on separate lines, and an account manager explains every monthly report in plain words. Bing Ads and Meta Ads (Facebook and Instagram) join when they suit your customers, and the arrangement is month to month with no setup fee and no contract.

46.5/ 100
Number 198 of 322 California cities

Who advertises, who buys
Manufacturing employs 4,619 residents (17.2%), professional, scientific and technical services 4,050 (15.1%), health care 3,412 (12.7%) and retail 2,671 (10%). Residents who make, design and move products also buy parts, packaging, repair, staffing and lunch. For firms that sell to them, the buyer is often one purchasing or facilities manager, so ads work best when they name the service, the delivery area and a direct phone line, not a slogan.
The city's June 2025 financial report, as summarized on Wikipedia, lists Lucid Motors first with 2,665 employees, followed by WorldPac, an Amazon Fulfillment Center, Newark Unified School District and Costco. The same list shows KNT Manufacturing, the Nordstrom Distribution Center, Cargill Salt and SMART Modular Technologies. It is one year's list, but it shows why ad schedules for suppliers should follow weekday shifts rather than weekends.
Alameda County counts 6,210 businesses across twelve ad-heavy trades, 83.3% of them small. Dentists number 970 (2.15 times the typical rate), real estate agents 824 (2.04 times, up 40.6%), residential remodelers 744 (1.52 times) and roofers 131 (1.39 times, up 17%). None of those counts belongs to Newark alone, since they cover all of the county. They tell a small advertiser that broad terms will be shared with many bidders, so tight locations, specific landing pages and a careful negative-keyword list matter more than reach, and PPC in Newark is better judged by calls from the right streets than by sheer clicks.
Work and shopping habits
A workforce profile suggests schedules and budgets. These six sectors employ more Newark residents than any others.
| Sector | Share of working residents |
|---|---|
| Manufacturing | 17.2% |
| Professional, scientific and technical services | 15.1% |
| Health care and social assistance | 12.7% |
| Retail trade | 10% |
| Education | 6.5% |
| Construction | 5.8% |
Data: ACS 5-year estimates for 2018-2022 (civilians 16 and older). A resident's job can sit beyond the city line, so this describes people, not employers inside the city.
Businesses chasing the same clicks
Newark is in Alameda County, and county is the smallest area for which the Census publishes these counts. A value of 2.0x means twice as many locations per resident as the median U.S. county.
Census County Business Patterns, 2017 and 2022, employer establishments for the entire county. A business listed here may or may not advertise.
Where to aim
Over the 13.919 square miles between Old Town and Cargill Salt, an ad account can be drawn very closely, and paid search in Newark rewards that care. These nine come from Wikipedia and city planning pages, and each suggests a radius, an exclusion or a line of ad text.
| Area | Targeting angle |
|---|---|
| Old Town | Thornton Avenue between the freeway and the rail line suits a small-radius campaign and ad text that names the street and parking. |
| NewPark Mall | The ring road beside Mowry Avenue is a clean boundary for retail and entertainment ads aimed at shoppers within a few minutes. |
| Ohlone College | A health sciences campus on Cherry Street, where ads for food, printing and supplies can follow class hours. |
| Pacific Research Center | Office and lab workers cluster here on weekdays, which points business-to-business ads and lunch offers at a narrow weekday window. |
| Dumbarton Bridge | The State Route 84 approach is where a decision to reach across the span or stop at the shoreline needs to be made on purpose. |
| Silliman Aquatic Center | A pool complex that gives swim lessons, party services and family dining a tight local audience. |
| Newark Memorial High School | Tutoring and sports services can draw a radius around the campus and run ads when school is in session. |
| Cargill Salt | A salt refinery tied to bay ponds, a landmark for industrial suppliers who want ads shown near working plants. |
| MacGregor soccer fields | The September home of Newark Days, a window when event-minded ads and food offers can be switched on and off. |
Area names are informal and come from municipal, county and regional publications.
Clicks and call habits
Work location changes ad timing. About 20.7% of workers work from home against 11.8% in the typical California city, so a large group is at a desk in Newark on a Tuesday afternoon and searches for repairs, lunch and services in daylight hours. Another 25.4% commute 45 minutes or more against 20.1%, which makes early morning and evening the busiest times for that group's calls.
Household money points to bigger jobs. Median income of $159,465 sits well above the $95,764 state set median, the median home is valued at $1,034,900 and only 4% of residents live below the poverty line. Owners of homes at that price hire remodelers, landscapers, dentists and tutors, and they compare two or three firms first. Ads that say what the first visit includes and how soon someone can come tend to earn the call.
The mix of origins is wide: 42.3% of residents were born abroad against 24.4% in the typical city, and 20.4% speak Spanish at home. Wikipedia's account of the 2020 census puts Asian residents at 41.2% and Hispanic or Latino residents at 30.2%. Those are broad categories, so a language ad group should be added only when search terms or incoming calls show a clear need, written by a fluent person with a matching landing page.
Demand is steady rather than surging. The 2023 estimate of 46,929 residents is 1.3% below the 2020 base, and renters are 30.5% of households against 40.3%, so owners dominate and stay put. A budget for this market is therefore best paced evenly through the year, with extra weight only around events such as Newark Days in September or when your own call records show a peak. Pay-per-click advertising for Newark companies tends to reward patience over bursts, because the same households come back to the same trusted names.
Campaign plan
Presence over interest
We target people physically in the areas you serve and exclude neighborhoods across the line you never reach. In an enclave, that single setting decides whether the account pays for impressions in Fremont or in Old Town.
Weekday buyer ads
With manufacturing employing 4,619 residents and large distribution sites in town, supplier ads run on weekday schedules and name the service, certifications and delivery radius. They lead to a short page with a direct number.
Daytime and early evening
Since 20.7% of workers work from home, call-only ads for services that can answer can run through the weekday. We test those windows against early and late hours and keep what produces calls.
Separate pages for each
NewPark Mall shoppers and Thornton Avenue visitors behave differently, so each gets its own ad group, ad text and landing page. Results are read side by side, and the stronger area gets more of the budget.
Cut the wrong traffic
A supplier near the Pacific Research Center attracts searches from applicants and hobbyists as well as buyers. We keep a running list of phrases to exclude, built from the actual search-term report each month.
Fremont, Union City, Hayward
Some Alameda County customers drive from Fremont (5 miles), Union City (7 miles) or Hayward (9 miles). Each gets its own group so you can see which place calls and drop the ones that do not.
Each idea comes from a figure or a place on this page, whether Old Town or the factory zone. Any one can start alone and be measured alone, and the first month normally concentrates on one area so the call records are easy to read before more are added.
Closest peers
Each peer is the nearest match on size, income, age, renter share, density, language at home, seasonal housing and older residents. Every name links to its page.

Our management fee
Fees are monthly and flat, scaled by platform count, and you may cancel whenever you like. Ad spend is its own budget and is paid to Google, Bing or Meta directly. Spending over $10K a month? Schedule a call.
Common questions
Our fee is flat and billed monthly: $895 covers one platform, $1,595 covers two, and $2,295 covers three, with no contract to sign. The ad budget is separate. It is paid to the platform and sized from your own economics. See the plan cards above, or compare plans on the pricing page.
Some campaigns produce calls the day they go live, and others take two to four weeks to show a pattern. Nothing is promised. A supplier selling to plants near the Pacific Research Center may wait longer for a first order, so the report tracks inquiries, calls and forms, not only closed sales.
It starts from your own numbers: what a customer is worth, how often an inquiry closes and how much work you can take on. We divide it among services and areas such as Old Town and the mall ring road, then shift money toward whatever the tracked calls show.
People who type a query are already shopping, and Meta Ads (Facebook and Instagram) can put a business in front of households before they search. Many owners near NewPark Mall run both for a stretch and compare calls in one report, then let the budget follow the channel that delivers.
They can, but in separate groups so each place is judged alone. Fremont lies 5 miles from Newark and Union City 7, near enough that some calls will come from both. A place that never calls is dropped, one that does gets more room, and Old Town stays in a group of its own.
We draw the service area from your actual routes, use presence-based targeting and review the location report each month. If impressions appear where your trucks never go, that area is excluded the same week. The enclave shape of Newark, around Old Town and the mall alike, makes this review a routine part of the account.
It should say what you supply, how quickly you deliver and who to call. A buyer at the Pacific Research Center skims for specifics, so the landing page repeats the same details and a tracked number rings directly to someone who can quote.
Yes. Parents search after school and on weekends, so ads for Newark Memorial High School families and for the pool can switch on in those hours and mention the nearby campus or Silliman Aquatic Center. We keep the two audiences in separate groups so you can see which one calls, and a swim school and a tutor never compete for the same budget line.
Every campaign is tied to its own tracked number and form, so reports connect calls to keywords, ads, areas and hours of day. Whether the caller was near Old Town or at a plant in the business park, the money moves toward what the records show.
Some people using ChatGPT on free or lower-priced plans now see labeled sponsored ads that advertisers purchase from OpenAI directly. Targeting there runs by country or topic rather than by keyword, and reporting is still early, which makes it better suited to a test budget than to the center of a plan. Google Ads is still where most local plans begin; ask us if you want help judging a small ChatGPT test.
