Get results in days, not monthsResults in days, not monthsThe common assumption says that with Disneyland next door, every Anaheim ad is a tourist ad. Not so. The Disneyland Resort sits in the west, yet 347,111 people live across the city, 53.4% of them renting and 41.9% speaking Spanish at home, and they search for dentists, tires and tax help just as families anywhere do. One campaign that tries to catch both a hotel guest and a homeowner in Anaheim Hills ends up wasting spend on one of them.
That is why we manage Google Ads for Anaheim businesses as separate audiences: visitors near the Anaheim Resort and Anaheim Convention Center, residents by district, and business buyers in the industrial areas. Each gets its own ads, location settings, landing page and tracked number, plus a named account manager and a monthly report. Meta Ads (Facebook and Instagram) and Bing Ads join when they fit, with no setup fee and no contract.

City Ad Competition Index
72/ 100
Number 48 of 322 California cities
Built from ACS 2018-2022, Census population estimates and County Business Patterns 2022. Each bar sets Anaheim against the rest of the guide (322 California cities in all). See the methodology for the formula; refreshed October 2026.
Location settings
Anaheim stretches across 50.283 square miles, and an ad that works at the Disneyland Resort gates would waste money in Anaheim Hills. These nine places come from Wikipedia, and each suggests a radius, a schedule or a line of ad copy.
| Area | Targeting angle |
|---|---|
| Disneyland Resort | Visitors near the gates search for food, rides and pharmacies on their phones, so call buttons, open-now hours and a tight radius suit businesses that sit close. |
| Anaheim Resort | The branded district between Ball Road and Chapman Avenue is the place to run a separate visitor campaign with address-first ad text. |
| Anaheim Convention Center | With Winter NAMM, Anime Expo and VidCon on the calendar, bids can rise on show weeks and relax between events. |
| Platinum Triangle | Angel Stadium and Honda Center nights justify short bursts of food, parking and ride ads, using published event dates. |
| Anaheim Canyon | The largest industrial district in Orange County is the target for business-buyer ads that name a service, an area and a license. |
| Anaheim Hills | A master-planned eastern third calls for resident campaigns kept apart from the resort, with neighborhood names in the copy. |
| Downtown Anaheim | The Anaheim Colony and two more historic districts are a good fit for walkable, small-radius ads from local service firms. |
| Anaheim Packing District | A dining destination, so ads for nearby food and drink can focus on evenings and weekends. |
| Anaheim GardenWalk | About 440,000 square feet of retail and entertainment inside the resort area attracts both locals and guests, so exclusions matter. |
Area names are informal and come from municipal, county and regional publications.
Customer behavior
The visitor types fast and acts fast. Someone leaving a convention hall or a hotel near the Anaheim Resort wants an open place, a map and a call button, not a long page. That suits ads with phone extensions, the address in the first line and a landing page that loads quickly on a phone, which is the standard we set for any business near the Anaheim Resort. Residents behave differently: they research a service for days, so their campaign should run on different words, different hours and a more detailed page. Paid search in Anaheim pays off when the two are never mixed.
The resident side tilts young, rented and multilingual. Median age is 35.4 against 37.6 in the typical California city of this set, 53.4% of households rent against 40.3%, 34.6% were born abroad against 24.4% and 41.9% speak Spanish at home against 20.5%. Spanish ad groups should be written by a fluent person and lead to a Spanish landing page. Search terms get a monthly review, and negative keywords block the clicks that cannot become customers.
Household economics suggest comparison shoppers. The median household earns $88,538 against $95,764, the median home is valued at $713,600 against $667,400 and rent is $1,958 against $1,970. Only 28.1% of adults have a bachelor's degree, 12.6% live in poverty and unemployment is 5.4%. Ads can state what is included and what happens next, which reassures people who get several quotes before choosing.
Schedules favor early and late hours. Just 7.8% of workers are home, against 11.8%, and 19.2% commute 45 minutes or more, against 20.1%. Hotel, hospital and warehouse work runs in shifts, so an ad schedule that follows those hours beats a nine-to-five one, and a text-enabled number gives a night-shift nurse an easy way to reach a clinic. Orange County's advertising-heavy trades add up to 20,439 firms, and small ones make up 86.7% of them, so most rivals are neighbors of similar size.
Campaign plan
Resort and convention hotels
Near the Disneyland Resort and the Anaheim Convention Center we run address-first ads with call buttons and open-now hours. Location settings stay tight and the schedule follows show weeks and busy weekends.
Hills, downtown, west side
Anaheim Hills and Downtown Anaheim get their own groups, so neighborhood names and recent work can appear in the copy. The report shows which district sends the best calls.
For the 41.9% at home
For the 41.9% of residents who speak Spanish at home, a fluent writer builds the ads and the landing page, and the tracked number is answered in Spanish. Search terms are read each month so budget does not drift toward clicks that cannot buy.
Angel Stadium and Honda Center
Bids for food, parking and rides rise around published home games and concerts and drop afterward. We read venue calendars from OC Sports & Entertainment rather than guess dates.
Suppliers near Anaheim Canyon
Firms in Anaheim Canyon that sell to plants and warehouses get ads naming the service, the area and the license, pointing to a short page with a direct line. Negative keywords keep out job seekers and curious readers.
Orange, Fullerton, Yorba Linda
Shoppers also search around Orange (8 miles), Fullerton (10) and Yorba Linda (2) within Orange County. Separate groups for the places you serve show where spend works, and Meta Ads (Facebook and Instagram) can reach them before they search.
Given 347,111 residents and a resort district at the western edge, six campaign ideas follow from the figures above. Any can start alone, and each ties to a place, an employer or a number on this page.
Buyers and bidders
Among Anaheim's 347,111 residents, workers fill many fields: health care and social assistance (23,334, 13.2%), manufacturing (21,958, 12.4%), retail (18,358, 10.4%), accommodation and food (15,721, 8.9%), construction (13,335, 7.5%) and education (12,645, 7.2%). Each field sends different buyers to search. A hotel supplier, a dental office and a machine shop would not want the same keywords, the same landing page or even the same hours, which is why the account is built by audience.
As shown on Wikipedia from the 2024 financial report, the biggest employers are Disneyland Resort (36,000), Kaiser Foundation Hospital (4,500), OC Sports & Entertainment (2,000), Northgate González Markets (1,000), Hilton Anaheim (900), Anaheim Regional Medical Center (885), L-3 Harris Technologies (850), West Anaheim Medical Center (740) and Anaheim Marriott (550). These are 2024 counts. The pattern, hospitality plus medicine, tells an advertiser who is on the other side of the click.
Crowding in Orange County differs by trade. Real estate agents number 2,985, law offices 2,846, dentists 2,815 and physicians offices 3,752, with agent counts up 38.1% over the period measured; roofing contractors (238) are up 33% and residential remodelers (1,311) up 26.5%. For a small advertiser in a busy trade, that argues for narrower location settings, stronger landing pages and tighter negative keywords instead of broad bidding. Nothing here refers to any particular competitor.
The workforce
Work shapes when people have time to call and what they can spend. These six sectors employ more Anaheim residents than any others.
| Sector | Share of working residents |
|---|---|
| Health care and social assistance | 13.2% |
| Manufacturing | 12.4% |
| Retail trade | 10.4% |
| Accommodation and food services | 8.9% |
| Construction | 7.5% |
| Education | 7.2% |
Data: ACS 5-year estimates for 2018-2022 (civilians 16 and older). A resident's job can sit beyond the city line, so this describes people, not employers inside the city.
Advertiser crowding
The Census counts businesses by county, so each row describes Orange County in full, with Anaheim inside it. Read 1.0x as the median U.S. county and 2.0x as double that density.

Common questions
Our fee is flat and billed monthly: $895 covers one platform, $1,595 covers two, and $2,295 covers three, and no contract binds you. Click spend is a separate budget, paid to Google, Bing or Meta and set from what a customer is worth to you. Each plan is described above, or compare plans on the pricing page.
A restaurant or urgent care near the Anaheim Convention Center may get calls the day a campaign goes live in a busy week, while other services need two to four weeks to show a pattern. No result is promised. The monthly report records which ads, hours and keywords produced calls.
We begin with what a customer is worth, how often an inquiry closes and how many customers you can serve. That figure is divided among visitor, resident and business-buyer campaigns, and moves as calls from the Anaheim Resort, Anaheim Hills and Anaheim Canyon show where money works.
Search ads meet people who already want something, and Meta Ads (Facebook and Instagram) can introduce a new shop to nearby households before they search. In a city where 53.4% of households rent, many people have no favorite yet. One landing page can serve both, and the report shows which earned the calls.
Yes, as separate groups, whether they start near Anaheim GardenWalk or elsewhere. Yorba Linda is 2 miles away, Orange 8 and Fullerton 10, and keeping them apart shows which direction sends the best calls. Places that never produce calls get excluded, and the freed budget moves to the ones that do, which is the same logic we apply to every neighborhood in the account.
For food, parking and rides near the Platinum Triangle, yes. Angels Baseball plays at Angel Stadium, and a schedule that raises bids around home games and concerts at Honda Center, then relaxes, keeps spend near the hours when demand shows up.
Largely. Location settings, negative keywords and ad text that names a neighborhood help, and the report shows which areas produced calls. A clinic in Anaheim Hills should not pay to reach hotel guests near Katella Avenue, and exclusions handle that. We also check the search terms each month, so a stray tourist query gets blocked the next time instead of repeating.
Business buyers around Anaheim Canyon scan for the service, the delivery area, licenses held and a direct phone line, often on a phone. A short page with those four items and a quote form works better than a long brand story, and a tracked number shows which ads earned the call.
Each campaign gets a separate tracked number and form. At month's end the report ties calls to keywords, ads and hours of day, so a restaurant at Anaheim GardenWalk and a repair shop in Downtown Anaheim can each see their own results.
OpenAI has begun showing sponsored, labeled placements to some users on its free and lower-priced plans, bought through its own self-serve ad manager. Targeting is broad and the reporting tools are young, which makes it better suited to a test budget than to the center of a plan. Google Ads is still where most local plans begin; ask us to talk through whether a test fits.
